This E.P. from the reclusive duo known as the Catalog Kids is an homage to the bibliophile beatnik purveyors of the (ill)est audio literacies that make your fantasies realities. Like those dog eared, library bound, pre-acid-free-paper editions holding down the weight of world, these two tracks have been sitting on the shelf collecting dust for far too long. Meanwhile Chris Time Steele, the highly esteemed collaborator on "That Dayton", has been blowing up the indie hip-hop scene and his name is now littered across the rap liturgy in the form of abundant citations and collaborations. With Time's credentials further gravitas is added to the title of this work, one that surely holds special meaning to those who pimp periodicals, live by the old street code of AACR2, and hold true to the brethren reppin' RDA. As for the work itself, patrons will be delighted by the sounds and stories held between the covers. These tracks are an absolute must for even the most sincerely well curated collection. This reviewers opinion: a strong recommendation to download now!
